There are several stops along the route that serve as "timepoints." The timepoints can be used as a reference to determine when the bus may get to a particular bus stop. For detailed information about bus stops, please call 485-RIDE or visit the Connector’s interactive map to plan your next trip.
Plan to arrive at the bus stop five minutes before the scheduled departure time on the schedule for the stop you wish to take. For real-time information on the current locations of the Connector bus, visit http://live.gotriangle.org, click on "DATA - Durham Area Transit Authority," then click on "BCC - Bull City Connector."
Each Bull City Connector bus has a special logo and design (shown at right), distinguishing it from other Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) buses. Special signage denotes Bull City Connector stops along the route as well.
North Carolina Central University also links to the Bull City Connector thanks to the NCCU Connection, a fare-free transit initiative designed specifically for NCCU and Duke students, faculty, and staff. NCCU and Duke students, faculty, and staff may board the Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) Route 5 bus (displaying the NCCU Connection emblem) anywhere between Cecil Street and Durham Station, simply by showing a valid NCCU or Duke ID card. Once on board the NCCU Connection, students, faculty, and staff may continue their travel free-of-charge on Route 5 or on the Bull City Connector.
The Bull City Connector provides frequent stops every 15 minutes Monday through Friday from 6:22 a.m. to 6 p.m., and every 20 minutes from 6 p.m. to midnight.
